Step towards understanding Life..!!
Well it was the end of summer of 93...It was july already and it was the first time i had come to cbe. After bein in chennai the place was lookin difft..Fortunately v had our own house so dad had no issues in huntin for a house ,i cud c that dad was bothered abt puttin me in a rite school after havin got a tremendous conduct report from my school in chennai.I stil remember my uncle had come down to cbe and was suggesting my dad to put me in stanes....hahaha.....i think my dad vud've thot "My son has already got lot of stains in his conduct to be admitted to stanes"...the next day me,my bro n my dad went to perks.....the lady ther was surprised to c me n my dad comin and askin for an admission that tooo in july........so thatz out of the list......Then came NEHRRUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU..........i stilll used to wonder why did they keep such a name...must be named after the richest marvadi in the town coz without them the school will not b ther and guys like me vudn't have got an opportunity to learn abt life..!!!
so went n met the princi..was an ol fellow ther...subramanian..formaities ovr in a jifffy...next day to schoool.....me n my mom come to the school ..met the princi and i was asked by the peon shivaji to take me to the classs .....i was introduced to a lady who was staning outside the class...she was ereally ol thot must b the aayah of the school then she went somewhere came back and took me into the class....and shouted at the top her voice ..my name ...she asked me sit somewhere...i just ambled towards the seats and saw couple of guys wavin at me askin me to come ther - in the last bench..i thot..yes i found my pals...(it was g.vijay and sampath).....went ther and took my seat ...tol them that i was from chennai and blah blah...then this female(pandian..!!! by the way waz her name!!! i dont know...i have been calllin her husband all these times..!!!:-))...then she started dictating some crap..then i understood that it was biology......then vijay uttered a word which i heard it fro the first time ( and that became my fav word!!:-)) --- PUNDAI....hahaha....fortunately my last school in chennai was infested with northies so slurry in hindi was not new to me.....then the hour got over...and it was lunch time.
i was eagerly waitin for my mom as she had told she vud come n pick me up to go to the hotel and have lunch...Lunch got over...after that i came to the block as i came near i saw an ol lady callin for me...i went n met her(vayithuvalli-maths) she askd me abt my second language and and tol her that twas hindi....and she askd me which section n blah blah....i sensed that some confusion has happened....pandyan was blabbering somethin and end i was put to patesshwari....a nice well composed teacher i've ever met in that school....
So the next day i was asked to go to the next class ....the same protocols of induction into the class was done..as it was being done i cud hear whispers and comments being passed ....then me went and sat in the first row and that toooo the first time in my lifeeeeeeee.......at those time i was of the opinion that first benchers were a crackk lot......well it changed.........can u guess who was my bench mate..................................................................................well it was sunilllllllllllllllll the lafmenaic.........he joined the clas a week ago and we got introduced each other , first he used to talk somethin nd all abt bombay..haf of which i dont understand and end of it he 'll give a hearty laf...was nice to c him laf his life out.
That was my first step towards understanding life........................really the best schoooolllllllllllll i 've studied in my life.......................................................
